Is the rest of the ALCS a referendum on Dusty Baker?
Early on Monday evening, after the Astros lost one “must win” Game 2 on the way to an absolutely, positively, there ain’t no doubt “must win” Game 3, Chip Bailey sent me a text. Chip is the founder of Chipalatta, and our little back and forth went as follows: Chip: So, cue the dusty naysayers?…

Astros – Rangers ALCS Playoff Preview
The Astros and Rangers will meet in what seemed like an unlikely ALCS pairing only a week and a half ago. Both teams barely squeezed into the playoffs, and the Rangers’ weekend collapse against the Mariners meant that they not only lost the AL West but would have to go on the road against the…

The Astros save the 2023 season
Perhaps if I had known it was this easy to inspire the team, I would have written this a long time ago….

The Astros need to win — Period!
My son sent me one of those writeups yesterday that went over all the tiebreaker scenarios the Astros could get caught up in from two-way to three-way to four-way ties between the Astros, the Mariners, the Rangers, and/or the Blue Jays. My head started throbbing from the gazillion possibilities, and I work in engineering for…
